SPW World Title Match
(plus a HUGE announcement or two or three)
Hello
fans and welcome back to another installment of the Mid Pacific Promotions
newsletter. Tonight, the SPW World
Champion the Ultimate Warrior returns home and will be defending his title
tonight.
Also
on the card, newly crowned Pacific Heritage Champion Finn Balor defends his
title against the Dr. of Thuganomics – John Cena. We also get the showdown match between the
Rock and the Macho Man Randy Savage.
Finally, Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger defends his MPP Light Heavyweight title
against Dolph Ziggler.
After
pyro goes off, Mr. Fuji and the MPP World Champ Don Muraco come out. Fuji said that he is the smartest business
man in the business and they have huge news for us. Don takes the mic and says that he knows he
could defeat the Ultimate Warrior but was instead given the opportunity of a
lifetime. Muraco says that money (and
lots of it) sometimes speaks volumes and that he has “sold” his title shot for
an INSANE amount of money and introduces the man who will be taking on the
Ultimate Warrior tonight and out comes…
Wait for it....
It's GCW's very own...Ravishing Rick Rude!
GCW’s
Rick Rude. Rude makes his way down to
the ring with a briefcase in hand. Rude
is handed the mic. “Don Muraco, this is
the best for everyone involved. Here is
the money we spoke about.” He hands the
briefcase to Muraco who pops it open to see so much cash inside. Muraco shakes
Rude’s hand and then he and Fuji leave.
Rude speaks again. “What I'd like
to have right now is for all you high-rollin' Hawaiian sweathogs, keep the
noise down while I take my robe off and give the ladies a good look at the
sexiest man alive.
Warrior…the weeks…the months of training…it’s all coming to a head. Ravishing Rick Rude is your destiny. I’m going to give you a Rude Awakening. It’s like this Warrior…I’ve had you beaten
before; I’m going to beat you once more.
I’m going to step over your carcass and will walk out with the
title. Good luck stopping me.”
Well,
that’s a huge surprise that we weren’t expecting. Backstage, owners Reggie Parks and Dave
Millican confront Fuji and Muraco wondering what the hell he thought he was
doing. Muraco said he made a sound
business decision and now is taking off.
Parks tells him to hold up and says that since he gave away (SOLD) his
title shot, he gets to defend the world title tonight. Muraco is pissed. Fuji asks who the opponent will be. Dave leans in and says…AJ Styles! Reggie adds in that all matches tonight will
have a 60 minute time limit.
The
show kicks off with the Ascension making their way down to the ring. They pace in the ring waiting for their
opponents. Next, Mr. Fuji comes out and
introduces the Tag Team Champions Samoa Joe and Yokozuna. Fuji reminds us that this will be a no DQ
match and with a 60 minute time limit, it is sure to be an ass-kicking. Viktor
and Konnor took the match to the champs and they were caught off guard. The Ascension concentrated on Yokozuna taking
him down. Joe hits the ring and ends up
injuring Konnor leaving Viktor on his own but he did just fine. We join the match now just after Konnor recovered.

head backstage with a promo from the Great One:
Hold
the mic up, jabroni, before The Rock slaps the taste out of your mouth! You
*referring to Randy Savage* come out here and you snap into your slim jim
and you little talk about how the Rock
comes out and spits his little nursery rhymes. Well, I'll tell you what, the
Great One has a little nursery rhyme for you, Macho man, and it goes like this:
Mary had a little lamb... Well, I'll tell you what, piss on the lamb, piss on
Mary, and piss on you! The Rock is gonna go out there tonight and do what do
what he does best, and that's lay the smackdown on your roody-poo (crowd
finishes it for him by saying "candy ass") - Uh uh! Hey! Don't do it!
Don't do it, because the Rock guaran-damn-tees to prove to you (points to
audience), you (points to interviewer), this nice gentleman holding the camera,
this chick scoping out the People’s Champ, he will prove to the millions (crowd
finishes it for him) and millions of the Rock's fans exactly why the Rock is
the Great One, exactly why the Rock is the chosen one, and exactly why the Rock
is without a shadow of a doubt the best damn champ there ever was, if you
smelllllll (crowd says "smell" along with him) - Hey! Uh uh Hawaii!
This ain't sing-a-long with the Great One! If ya smelllllalalalalow what the
Rock... (The Rock pauses very theatrically, lifts a hand to his face, uses it
to turn his head to the side, pushes his chin down, and cocks the People's
Eyebrow) ...is cookin’!
Our
next match kicks off first when we hear “Word Life” begin to blare through the
speakers and the Doctor of Thuganomics John Cena and his manager Sensational
Sherri come out to booing from the fans.
Next, the Pacific Heritage Champion Finn Balor comes out and the fans
pop huge. As Finn gets to the ring,
Sherri screams at him in an effort to throw him off his game. A few minutes into the match, Sherri hit Finn
with a chair when he was on the outside of the ring taking him down at the
knee. Finn favored his leg throughout the
rest of the match. We now join the match
at the 13 min mark.

Randy
Savage is backstage and cuts a promo.
“Ohhhh Yeahhhhh. The Macho Man
gets his hands on the Rock and BAM, Rock goes to sleep. The Macho Man will own this clown and then
the Madness will run wild and then the People’s Champion will be nothing but a
memory. Ohhh Yeahhhhhh.”
We
head back to the ring for our next match.
First, the challenger Dolph Ziggler comes out to booing from the
crowd. Next, the Light Heavyweight
Champion Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger makes his way out. The crowd pops for him and Ziggler doesn’t
like it so he attacks Liger before the bell.
Liger fought Ziggler off and controlled the majority of the match. In an effort to gain control late in the
match, Ziggler began peppering Liger with blasting rights. Liger shook it off and hit a Running Liger
Bomb. Liger made the cover and hooked the
leg getting the 1-2-3. Liger retains the
Light Heavyweight title. He celebrates
briefly before taking his title and leaving.

Styles is backstage and he says that it’s time for the Phenomenal One to get
his shot at glory. He’s not taking
anything away from Muraco or Fuji for that matter but if given a fair shot,
he’ll prove to the world why he’s just plain…Phenomenal.
Pomp
and Circumstance begins to play and out comes the Macho Man Randy Savage
accompanied by Miss Elizabeth. Savage threatens
to backhand a few fans on his way to the ring.
The fans boo as he climbs the turnbuckles. His music is cut off and we hear “IF YOU
SMELLLLLLLL…WHAT THE ROCK…IS…COOKIN’” and out comes the Rock. The Rock makes a beeline for the ring and
Savage bails. When Rock follows him out
of the ring, Savage pulls Miss Elizabeth in front of him begging Rock off. Savage hightails it into the ring and when
the Rock tried to enter, Savage began putting the boots to him. The ref finally rang the bell and this one
got started.

Savage gets the win over the Rock and he makes his way around the ring
strutting as the fans boo him and Liz and they leave the ring. Rock follows shortly thereafter.
The
Heavyweight Champion ‘The Magnificent’ Muraco says that he is the One True
Champion and he’ll prove to AJ why he holds this title. When he was asked about selling his title shot
against the Ultimate Warrior, Muraco just said that intelligence runs through
his genes and not only will he leave tonight with a healthy amount of money but
he’ll be leaving with his title also.
The
next match begins with the Phenomenal AJ Styles making his way out to the ring
to a huge pop from the crowd. The fans
are solidly behind the challenger for this match. Next, Mr Fuji comes out and introduces the
Heavyweight Champion Don ‘the Rock’ Muraco.
The fans boo as the champ makes his way down to the ring. Muraco and Fuji controlled the match but AJ
hung in there. About 15 minutes in, AJ
got tired of Fuji’s interference and took him out. He almost got counted out but made it back in
in time. Fuji was incapacitated for the
next 8 minutes but Muraco held his own.
Fuji finally recovered and we pick up the match at the 23 minute mark.

Fuji. After a few minutes, the new champ
leaves.
We
cut to the back where SPW World Champion the Ultimate Warrior is cutting a
promo. “Action stage left! Action stage
right! There is no place to run! All the fuses in the exit signs have been
burnt out and there is only one straight and narrow pathway and it deals with
pain and destruction and recapturing the intercontinental belt. YOU RAVISHING
RICK RUDE WILL FEEL THAT PAIN, FEEL THAT POWER TONIGHT AS THE WARRIORS CLAW AND
SCRATCH ALL OVER THE BACK OF THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR AND TELL ME TO DO WHAT IS
RIGHTFULLY RIGHT AND WRONGFULLY WRONG! LOAD THE SPACESHIP WITH THE ROCKET FUEL!

It’s
time for our Main Event. First,
Ravishing Rick Rude makes his way out to the ring and does his whole “fat slob”
shitick and taunts the men and women sitting at ringside. Next, the music changes and out comes, like a
speeding bullet, the SPW World Champion Ultimate Warrior. Rude doesn’t back down but maintains his
place in the ring. After the Warrior had
finished his showboating to the crowd, Rude was ready. Reggie Parks comes out and announces this
will be a best of 3 falls, 60 minute, NO-DQ match.

Just
as the show is winding down, Mike Adamle comes out. He thanks the fans for attending on behalf of
the owners and says he has a major announcement to make. MPP has gone broke. (Has anyone seen Paul E?) They were hoping new owners would come in and take over but based on his investigative skills, he has not
been able to determine if a new owner has been found.
Mike looks at his watch and sighs as nothing has transpired. As of 10:00PM this evening, MPP officially closes its doors.
An agreement has been worked out with the SPW board of directors in case this happened and pending a hail mary, the entire roster has been given a stamp of approval to be drafted by any other territory within the SPW Alliance unless someone comes in and purchases the whole kit and caboodle. The Board of Directors have set an expiration time and date of 11:59pm on 12/31/17. If no one comes in to take over, this chapter of the SPWA closes.
