Hello
fans and welcome back to our show – Mid Pacific Promotions - a member of the SPW Alliance – is proud to
host the SPW US Champion Mike Rotundo who will defend his title tonight against
former title holder Bray Wyatt.
The
camera cuts to backstage where SPW US Champion Mike Rotundo is walking in and
is greeted by numerous backstage hands.
As he makes his way towards his dressing room, he encounters SPW
Cruiserweight Champion Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger.
For those who may have missed it, Rotundo defeated Liger to bring the North
American title back home to IWA. The two
lock eyes and it’s Rotundo who extends a hand and Liger shakes it. Both men then go their separate ways.
We
fully expected to see ‘Wildfire’ Tommy Rich show up in Hawaii but with the loss
of his title to Rotundo, its Mike who now gets to walk around with the gold.
We
head to the ring for our first match.
Lance Cade comes out to a decent pop.
Next, the Sheepherders come out and Butch accompanies Crazy Luke to the
ring for singles action. Luke controlled
the tempo of the match but Lance hung in there just like his mentor Shawn
Michaels taught him to. Butch tried to
interfere on behalf of his partner but almost got tossed out from
ringside. Cade used that distraction to
hit Luke with a sit down spinebuster. He
hooked the leg and got the 1-2-3. Lance
Cade gets the win but it’s short lived after Butch rushed in the ring and
attacked Cage. Luke removed the cover of
the turnbuckle and Butch repeatedly slammed Cade’s head into the exposed
turnbuckle busting him open. The sight
of the blood put the Sheepherders into a frenzy and security from the back
rushed out to prevent further injury to Lance.
As it was, Lance had to be taken out on a stretcher. We hope he’ll be ok. (13 min)
We
cut to the back where there is a commotion.
It seems that someone has attacked Bray Wyatt as he’s face down on the
ground in a pool of blood. Reggie Parks
rushes over and immediately calls for medics to tend to Wyatt. Parks mutters “Great…there went the main
event. Someone is going to pay.”
We
head back to the ring and the Berserker is already there muttering “Huss…Huss…Huss”
walking in circles in the ring. “Cult of
Personality” hits and out comes CM Punk to a pop from the crowd. Punk heads to the ring and then begins
climbing the turnbuckles to pops from the fans.
When he was done, the match began. Punk began on the defensive but nullified Berserkers
first few moves. After that, Punk kicked it into high gear outwrestling his
opponent but Berserker battled back with raw power. After dropping Punk with a big boot, he began
walking around the ring doing the “Huss…Huss….Huss” thing again. Punk sprung to his feet and forced the
Berserker into the corner blasting him with a step up knee strike in the
corner. Berserker fell to the ground and
Punk made the cover getting the 3 count.
CM Punk wins this and immediately leaves the ring with his arms
raised. (11 min)
Back
in their office, Reggie Parks is with co-GM Dave Millican and they are sitting
with the SPW US champion Mike Rotundo. They
are trying to determine what to do about their main event until Sensational
Sherri and John Cena walk in. Sherri
says that Cena should have been the one getting the title shot and not the
hillbilly and he’s right here, right now ready for a shot. Cena kicks the chair leg Rotundo is sitting
on and begins to goad him. Mike tells
Reggie and Dave he’ll take on Cena and he stands and gets into John’s
face. Cena starts to get riled up but
Sherri tells him to save it for the ring.
We
go back to the ring for what is expected to be a hell of a match. First, the leader of the Bullet Club Finn
Balor makes his way out to the ring to a huge pop from the crowd. He celebrates but his music is cut short when
Mr. Fuji comes out with one half of the World Tag Team Champions Samoa
Joe. The fans boo him and he flips them
off as he and Fuji saunter down to the ring.
At Fuji’s insistence, Joe attacks Finn and this one is underway. For about the first 7 minutes of the match,
Joe (and Fuji) controlled the pace.
After that, however, it became all about Finn and he really took Joe to
school. The fans popped at every high
impact move from both men. 13 minutes
in, Joe hit Finn with a muscle buster but Finn kicked out. Joe then began an offensive run that carried
him right up until the end. The last two
minutes of the match had both men throwing everything they had into this. In the last few seconds of the match, Finn
hits the Prince’s Throne but time runs out before he could make the cover. The match
ends in a time limit draw but these two are not done with each other and the
fans don’t want it to end. The two
continue to slug it out and security once again comes out to break it up
between the two. Eventually both men
leave and the fans actually popped for Joe for a hell of a performance. (20 min draw; 136 to 135)
Mike
Adamle is backstage with SPW US Champion Mike Rotundo. Adamle asks what Rotundo is going to do to
counter the threat of Sensational Sherri.
Rotundo says that over in IWA, he’s had to deal with managers sticking
their noses into his matches. Tonight,
if Sherri sticks hers in, she will be treated no different.
It’s
time for our MAIN EVENT. This match will
be one fall with a 30 minute time limit.
First, “Word Life” begins playing over the loudspeakers and the Dr. of
Thuganomics John Cena comes out with his manager Sensational Sherri. They saunter down to the ring and the fans
boo him as he tries to get them to embrace his motto. They don’t so he flips them off which sends
them into a frenzy. His music is cut off
and out comes the SPW US Champion Mike Rotundo.
Rotundo makes his way to the ring and enters. The fans pop for him. He hands the title to the ref, removes his
jacket and then motions to Cena to “bring it”.

Before
the match could begin though, the ref sends Sherri away from the ring and she
screams all the way to the back. Cena
looked just a tad concerned but then put his game face on.

After 30 minutes, the match is declared a draw. (171 to 150)
After
a hard fought match, the match ends in a draw and Mike Rotundo retains the SPW
US title. Sheri rushed back out trying
to complain but it did no good. Rotundo
left the ring and celebrated with the fans as he made his way to the back. Cena and Sherri continued to argue with the
ref. All of a sudden, the lights went
out for a split moment and when they came back on, a bandaged and bloody Bray
Wyatt was standing in the ring and he started to pummel Cena. Cena eventually got away leaving Bray to stew
in the ring. Bray takes a mic and says that Cena attacked
him costing him a title match and there is only one way he wants revenge – in a
HELL IN A CELL! The fans pop and Cena
shakes his head, Sherri screaming “No Way” and Bray looking at them with a very
creepy look on his face.
