Reggie Parks and Dave Millican come out and are well received by the fans. Dave gets on the mic and welcomes back to the Mid-Pacific the SPW World Champion Verne Gagne. Verne comes out and waves to the crowd and he receives a pretty big pop. Verne is on the mic thanking the fans and says he welcomes the challenge from a man as unconventional as they come – the Ultimate Warrior. He says that match will be one for the record books. They are interrupted by King Damien Sandow who welcomes Verne back to MPP. Sandow reminds the SPW universe that he won King of the Ring AND defeated the ‘other King’ Jerry Lawler and now HE wants a shot at Verne.
