Mid-Pacific Promotions Newsletter #031 – SPW Tag Team titles on the line

Hello fans and welcome back to our next installment of the Mid-Pacific Promotions Newsletter.  Tonight, we will have a battle royal to determine who will become the next Pacific Heritage Champion.  The entire roster is participating including MPP Light Heavyweight Champion Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger (by the time this happened, Liger had lost the SPW Cruiserweight title) but excluding World Champion Don Muraco and SPW World Champion the Ultimate Warrior.  The roster began filing to the ring and eventually everyone made it into the ring with quite a few people fighting on the outside.  The battle royal went this way:

Finn Balor wins the Battle Royal and becomes the NEW PACIFIC HERITAGE CHAMPION!!!

Balor celebrates with the fans for a good 5 minutes before heading to the back to a standing ovation from the crowd.

It’s time now for the main event.  First, the challengers come out and they are the MPP World Tag Team Champions Samoa Joe and Yokozuna led to the ring by their manager Mr. Fuji.  Just as Fuji is ready to take his place at ringside, he is notified he is not allowed to be at ringside for this match and he and his team complain but it falls on deaf ears.  Fuji makes his way to the back.  Next, the SPW World Tag Team Champions the Dudley Boyz come out to a pop from the crowd.  Bubba Ray and D Von head down to the ring and pose for the crowd with their titles.  The ref gets control sending one member of each team out of the ring and this one is ready to begin.
