Mid-Pacific Promotions Newsletter #027

Hello fans and welcome back to another issue of the Mid-Pacific Promotions newsletter.  Well, things are not progressing well behind the scenes of MPP.  Owners Reggie Parks and Dave Millican have been staying in communication with the SPW Alliance board of directors and it has been agreed upon that after MPP gets the World title match the week of 12/03, MPP will be taking the rest of December off while they go through a restructure and reorganization.  The owners will be required though to keep the board of directors informed of any and all changes.  Reggie and Dave have agreed to the request.

The show kicks off with A-Team member Austin Aries making his way down to the ring along with his teammates Austin Aries and Antonio Cesaro.  Once in the ring, the music changes and Sensational Sherri comes out followed by the monster Umaga.  Sherri and Umaga head down to the ring and Umaga goes on a rampage taking out all three men.  By the time the ref (with Sherri’s help) got Umaga under control, Aries was ready to get this underway.  Aries and Umaga traded control of the match but after mid match, Sherri got involved and things went Umaga’s way.  Aries caught Umaga with a 450 splash that almost got him a 3 count but Umaga kicked out at the last moment. Sherri got up on the apron to cause a distraction and when Austin turned around, Umaga hit him with a throat chop and Umaga made the cover getting the 1-2-3.  Umaga gets the win and Sherri joins him.  Umaga tried to go after Aries but he rolled out of the ring and made his way to the back.  Umaga and Sherri eventually left.  (17 min)

Backstage, Damien Sandow returns and shows a recap of his turning on Jerry Lawler.  He says he’s back where he belongs and is back in action tonight.

Next match on the card has Lenny Lane vs Prof Toru Tanaka w/ Johnny Valiant.  Lane said he was not going down without a fight and a fight is what he brought to the match.  Even though the Professor dominated the match, Lane was not going quietly into the night.  Lane, to his credit, kept kicking out of all pin and submission attempts.  Before we knew it, the time was ready to expire.  Tanaka locked in a cobra clutch and thought he had time so he let him go and went for a pin.  The ref counted 1…2…and the bell rang bringing this one to a draw.  Lane then bolted out of the ring leaving Toru and Valiant frustrated in the ring.  (20 min draw)

The Rock has a few choice words for the Macho Man Randy Savage.  “Savage, do you think you impress The Rock by coming out here with your little manager hitting the Rock in the People’s Privates? Do you think you impress The Rock dropping a smelly armpit on the Rock? Well, The Rock says, if you really wanna impress The Rock, then you will come to the People’s Ring and you will get your ass kicked when you go one on one with the Great One!

And Savage, when the Great One's music hits: 'Do you smell what The Rock is cooking', and 20,000 asses are standing on their feet with goosebumps running through their body, all chanting The Rock's name, 'Rocky, Rocky'" *crowd starts chanting his name* then, Savage, you bring your monkey ass to the people's ring and you come and you try to make a name for yourself by jumping The People's Champ. But here's the twist: instead, Savage, of taking your hiding behind the skirt of your manager, The Rock says that take your entire thirty-three pound head, turn it backwards like The Exorcist, have it roll down your back, catch it with both your hands. And then, Macho Man, The Rock says, take your own head and proceed to shove it directly up your candy ass!"

We head back to the ring to see who will go on to fight for the SPW Cruiserweight title.  Finn Balor was originally promised the match but after Jushin Liger lost the SPW Cruiserweight title, the owners have been trying to get the dominating champion a rematch.  Liger then offers to put the MPP Light Heavyweight title on the line also to assuage Balor’s concerns.  Balor did a good job staying right there with the champ but after attempting a Prince’s Throne and missing, he landed awkwardly on his leg.  Liger then locked in a leglock and he got Balor to tap out in the middle of the ring.  Liger retains his LH title and now goes on next week to fight for the Cruiserweight title once again.  (12 min)

Backstage, the Dr. of Thuganomics John Cena is with Sensational Sherri.  Cena says he’s tired of Wyatt’s games and he challengs Bray to a match tonight with the winner getting a shot at the SPW US title in just a few weeks.  He’ll be in the ring and expects Wyatt to show or he can run back to the shadows.

Crash Holly makes his way out for the next match.  Next, king of the ring winner Damien Sandow comes out and the fans pop huge for him.  Sandow says that now that he’s back, he is ready to take his career to the next level and challenges the Don Muraco to a match for the World title.  Sandow owned the match and hit a huge backbreaker to score the win in 18 minutes.  While he celebrated, it was cut short after the Magnificent One Don Muraco came down and blasted Sandow first with a darkness suplex and a dedicated piledriver.  Muraco stood over Sandow holding his title high.

Reggie Parks comes out and agrees to the stipulation between Cena and Wyatt to see who is going after the US title.  Reggie says that if the match goes to a draw, he and Dave will make the decision on who will go on.  In wasting no time, he calls both men out to get this one underway.

Bray Wyatt comes out first and he takes a mic calling Cena a coward for not giving him a rematch for the Pacific Heritage title.  Cena comes out with Sensational Sherri and he agrees to make the match tonight for the title but Sherri is not happy with his decision.  The two waste no time getting this one moving.

Bray Wyatt gets the win and is one again the NEW Pacific Heritage Champion.  Wyatt says that the SPW US title will come back to MPP once he wins the title.  The show comes to an end as Bray stands in the ring laughing maniacally.
