Hello
fans and welcome to our PPV – the Cutting Edge.
We are coming to you live from Honolulu, HI as well as streaming on the
SPW network. It’s not too late to sign

Reggie
Parks and Dave Millican come out and are well received by the fans. Dave gets on the mic and welcomes back to the
Mid-Pacific the SPW World Champion Verne Gagne.
Verne comes out and waves to the crowd and he receives a pretty big
pop. Verne is on the mic thanking the fans
and says he welcomes the challenge from a man as unconventional as they come –
the Ultimate Warrior. He says that match
will be one for the record books. They
are interrupted by King Damien Sandow who welcomes Verne back to MPP. Sandow reminds the SPW universe that he won
King of the Ring AND defeated the ‘other King’ Jerry Lawler and now HE wants a
shot at Verne. Verne says he is
committed to his match against the Ultimate Warrior. His Lordship looks at
Reggie Parks and tells him to get the SPW committee on the phone and get this
cleared as he is not letting Gagne leave without his shot. Before Sandow leaves, he tells the crowd that
Jerry Lawler was thinking there were some shenanigans going on but if he ever
wants to trek across the ocean for a rematch, “he’ll be right here” (he does
that last part in ET’s voice and that elicited laughter from the crowd). Sandow leaves with Reggie Parks. Millican and Gagne leave and pyro goes off
kicking this one off.
The
show begins with a rematch for the IWA North American title. First, Freddie Blassie comes out brings out
the Mongolian Monster Killer Kahn. The
fans boo them as they make their way to the ring. Next, music hits and out comes the SPW
Cruiserweight, MPP Light Heavyweight and IWA North American Champion Jushin
‘Thunder’ Liger to a HUGE pop from the crowd.
Blassie and Kahn are in the ring holding their hands over their ears the
pop is so loud.
In a
rematch for the IWA North American Title.

Blassie is visibly upset and he and Killer Khan leave to taunting from the
fans. Liger sticks around to celebrate.
Gino
Hernandez is backstage with Mike Adamle and Mike comments that Gino returned
but empty handed. Gino says that the
owners in Mid-Pacific colluded with those in Houston and that is why he’s not
the champion. Mike comments that maybe
it was because his opponent was better.
Gino gets upset and says “I don’t need this crap from you, the owners or
the stupid fans. You know what…I
QUIT!” Gino then walks off leaving a
stunned Mike Adamle behind.
It’s
time for our next match. First, “Word
Life” plays through the loud speakers and Sensational Sherri comes out first
and introduces the Dr. of Thuganomics – John Cena. Cena comes out and is booed. He flips off the fans and he and Sherri head
down to the ring. Next “Cult of
Personality” plays through the speakers and out comes CM Punk to a loud pop
from the crowd. Cena is pacing in the
ring waiting and Sherri tries to calm him down.
Punk finally makes it to the ring and sneers at Cena before climbing all
4 corner turnbuckles to pops from the fans.
Finally, Punk is ready to get down to business.
Punk
started off strong but after Sherri sprayed something in his face (temporarily
blinding him), Cena took over. Cena went
for a lot of pin attempts but Punk just kept kicking out. Punk finally got some offense going when he
locked in the Koji Clutch in the middle of the ring but somehow (maybe it was
all the screaming Sherri was doing) John made it to the ropes to break the
hold. Punk started to go after Sherri on
the outside of the ring but John snuck out and caught Punk with a
clothesline. Sherri distracted the ref
once more and John hit a low blow on Punk.
He raised Punk’s head, flipped him off and then hit him with the
F-U. John made the cover and hooked the
leg (and maybe the tights) and got the 1-2-3.
John Cena gets the win and celebrates with Sherri. They then leave while Punk recovers in the
ring. (14 min)
Gino
walks out of the owners offices and says he got his release. He turns to leave and is approached by Finn
Balor, King Damien Sandow and AJ Styles.
Finn asks what the hell he’s doing and Gino tells him that this little
playground isn’t for him and he’s going elsewhere where his talent is
appreciated. Before leaving, Gino tells
them that they all SUCK and he walks off.
Mike
Adamle is backstage with Pacific Heritage Champion Edge. Edge says that tonight, he puts the title on
the line against Christian in a cage so he can’t run away. Mike tells him that the owners have also said
in addition to Christian being out if he loses, that if Edge loses the belt
tonight, he too is out. Edge promises
that won’t happen. Finally, his coat
tails will be a little less stressed without Christian hanging on to them.
Also
backstage, SPW World Champion Verne Gagne graciously agreed to interview
Christian for this match.
Verne: Christian, it looks like you have your work
cut out for you tonight.
Christian: Hey, who are you old man?
V: I’m the SPW World Heavyweight Champion. I’m a pretty big deal around here.
C: Well, you ain’t from around here now are you
old man. Listen, tonight isn’t about you
or the Ultimate Steroid user. It’s about
ME finally getting away from Edge and being my own man…my own champion.
V: The steel cage, as we speak, is being set
up.
C: I know all about steel cages and tonight,
Edge gets to say goodbye from the confines of one.
V: You sure seem pretty confident.
C: Hey, if I wasn’t fighting Edge, I’d be happy
to take you on.
V: You wish son…you wish.
Christian
then storms off leaving Verne behind shaking his head in disbelief.
The
cage has been finished and is fully set up.
Music hits and Captain Charisma Christian comes out first and is
booed. Christian goes in through the
door and waits. “You think you know me”
plays and out comes the Heritage Champion Edge.
Edge rushes the ring and then begins to climb the cage and entering from
over the top. He sits at the top and Christian
looks on a little concerned. Edge climbs
down but Christian hits a flying dropkick that smashes Edge into the cage wall
busting him open before the match even begins.
The ref rings the bell and this one is underway.

Wyatt has just defeated Edge to become the NEW Pacific Heritage Champion. Because Edge lost, he too is out of Mid
Pacific Promotions. Edge is shocked as
Bray takes the title and leaves laughing all the way to the back.
Reggie
Parks is in his office with Dave Millican and King Damien Sandow. Reggie says he just got off the phone with
the SPW championship committee and they have approved Sandow’s request to cash
in his shot at the SPW Heavyweight title.
Sandow claps his hands in jubilation and then leaves.
It’s
time for our semi-main event. Music hits
and out like a bullet, the Ultimate Warrior rushes to the ring, begins shaking
the ropes and gets the fans to pop for him.
He is given time to psyche up the crowd.
Next, the SPW World Champion Verne Gagne makes his way out to an equally
loud pop. Verne shakes hands with the
fans as he makes his way down to the ring.
Verne gets in the ring and extends his hand to the Ultimate Warrior who
accepts to what was the loudest pop this crowd has ever done. Warrior however doesn’t let go. He pulls Verne in close and snarls in his
face before releasing his grip. The two
are separated and our Best of 3 falls, 60 min time limit match is ready to
begin.
