Mid-Pacific Promotions Newsletter #012

Hello fans and welcome back to another issue of the Mid-Pacific Promotions newsletter.  Tonight, our main event will be for the SPW Tag Team titles with the champs the Dudley Boys taking on one half of the Bullet Club – AJ Styles and Gino Hernandez.  Also on the card are the MPP Tag Team Champions Samoa Joe and Yokozuna w/ Mr Fuji taking on the other half of the Bullet Club in Finn Balor and Damien Sandow.  Also in action are the Ultimate Warrior, Umaga and more.  But first, we have a major announcement.  We go to Reggie Park’s office.  “Hello wrestling fans.  I am here to announce that Mid-Pacific Promotions will be hosting this years’ ‘King of the Ring’ on 6/25 but per the terms and conditions within the SPW Alliance, we will need to bring it back to the mainland. So with that said, 2017 King of the Ring will come to you live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.  We expect the other territories to have announced all their participants hopefully by 6/11 so we can ramp the excitement up a few notches.  We also are proud to announce that joining our own Mike Adamle will be none other than the ‘voice’ of professional wrestling – Jim Ross!  Jim will be part of the announce team.  We expect more announcers to be added to the event so stay tuned for that.  With that out of the way, let’s get this one started.”

Match #1:  Muhammed Hassan vs Lenny Lane.  Lane was already in the ring as he came out during the opening promo.  Hassan came out next to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Hassan is here to impress as he’s made it clear he wants to be considered for the SPW US title opportunity.  Lenny hits a bodyslam right off the bat and then he showboats about it.  Hassan drops him and locks in the camel clutch.  He cinches back and Lane taps out.  HOLY COW.  Muhammed Hassan wins this one in only 60 seconds!

Mike Adamle is backstage with Sensational Sherri and her newest charge Umaga.  Sherri tells us that Umaga is not here for titles; he’s here to HURT people.  Anyone she thinks gets in her way will feel the brutality of Uuuuumaga!  She then laughs.

Match #2:  Dolph Ziggler comes out first and he ignores the fans completely.  Music hits and out RUSHES the Ultimate Warrior.  Ziggler bails out of the ring as UW shakes the ropes like there was an earthquake.  UW climbs the turnbuckles to pose as Dolph gets back in the ring.  Warrior wastes no time in flattening Ziggler and overpowering him.  He hurled Ziggler to the ropes and then caught him in a bearhug. He squeezed until Dolph couldn’t take it anymore and he tapped out.  Another quick match and Ultimate Warrior wins this one in only 4 minutes.

Mike Adamle is backstage with the SPW World Tag Team Champions Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley.   Bubba says he’s seen AJ in action and knows he’s a hell of a talent.  D-Von comments that he thinks Gino was around during when his grandfather watched wrestling.  Bubba tells the Bullet Club to bring their all if they even want a shot of taking the gold from them.  D-Von exclaims “TESTIFY!”

Match #3:  MPP World Champion ‘The Magnificent’ Don Muraco comes out with Mr. Fuji in tow.  Muraco gets on the mic and says that a world champion is not on every show and when he deems it appropriate, he can grace them with his presence.  Muraco says that tonight, one special person in the back gets a NON-title shot against him.  Muraco invites anyone from the back to come out. The one person who did is none other than Crash Holly.  Holly powerwalks to the ring and gets in Muraco’s face.  Don laughed pretty hard thinking this was a joke but Holly wasn’t going anywhere.  Muraco, not even dressed for a match, removed his jacket and handed that and his belt to Mr. Fuji.  Muraco motions for Holly to do something.  Holly stunned the champ with the Crash Course and then totally took it to the champ.  Muraco was not prepared and even tried to leave the ring but Holly kept up the battle.  Mr. Fuji tried to intervene and Holly blasted him with a right hook.  Holly jumped back in the ring and hit Don with the Crash Course again and hooked the leg. The ref counted 1…2…3.  Crash Holly has just defeated the World Champion!  He is ecstatic!  He runs around whooping and hollering.  A very pissed off Muraco grabbed him by the neck and flung him to the ground.  Muraco then stomped a mudhole in Holly.  He picked him up and nailed a dedicated piledriver.  Mr. Fuji got in the ring rubbing his jaw.  Muraco put Holly on the top turnbuckle and then nailed a darkness suplex.  Fuji handed Muraco a steel chair and Don put many dents into it using Crash as the recipient of the shots.  Muraco then laid the chair down and hit another dedicated piledriver on the chair.  Crash is out.  Medics and shirts from the back ran out to stop any further attacks.  Crash had to be loaded on a stretcher and taken out.  Muraco was still pissed when he and Mr. Fuji left the ring.  (13 min for the match; 8 for the rest of the segment)

Mike Adamle is backstage with the Mid Pacific Promotions Tag Team Champs Yokozuna and Samoa Joe with Mr. Fuji there still rubbing his jaw.  Joe says that Balor and Sandow can have their little club as they don’t need anyone besides them and Mr. Fuji.  Don Muraco will be the World Champion until he’s ready to give it up and they will be Tag Team Champions until they’ve decided the same.

Match #4:  ‘Sick Boy’ Scott Vick is already in the ring and he’s pacing waiting on his opponent.  Sensational Sherri comes out and introduces Umaga.  Umaga rushes the ring and attacks Vick.  Vick bailed and when Sherri distracted the ref, Vick blasted Umaga with a steel chair multiple times.  Vick then owned the whole match but the longer it went on, Umaga turned up the ferocity.  By the time the clock was getting ready to end, Vick thought he was going to skate out on a draw but Umaga hit him unexpectedly with a Samoan Spike and in the middle of the ring with seconds left, Vick tapped out.  Umaga gets the win but he picks up Vick at the insistence of Sherri and slams him hard on the mat.  He goes to the top rope and jumps connecting with a splash. Vick had to be peeled off the mat.  Sherri and Umaga celebrated in the ring briefly before leaving.  (20 min)

Mike Adamle is backstage with all four members of the Bullet Club – Finn Balor, Damien Sandow, AJ Styles and Gino Hernandez.  Balor says he and Sandow have their work cut out for them but AJ and Gino have the opportunity to bring those SPW titles home and then all the Bullet Club members can celebrate as champions in their own right.

Match #5:  Mid-Pacific Tag Team Title Match:  Samoa Joe & Yokozuna vs. Finn Balor & Damien Sandow.  Sandow and Finn come out to pyro and a huge pop from the crowd.  Next, Mr. Fuji leads out the World Tag team Champions Samoa Joe and Yokozuna.  Joe begins against Finn Balor.  This wasn’t so much a wrestling match as it was a total car wreck.  Joe and Yokozuna double teamed the Bullet Club so often that it was hard to tell who the legal man was in at times.  Much credit went to Balor and Sandow as they had each other’s backs and saved each other from multiple pin and submission attempts.  It was clear that the champions dominated the match (334 to 240) but it was the time limit at 30 full minutes that saved Balor and Sandow.  Once the bell rang bringing this one to an end, all 4 men were exhausted.  Joe and Yokozuna retained their titles but came to the understanding that the Bullet Club are no push-overs.

There was a brief break in the action and then “You think you know me…” plays over the loudspeakers and out comes the Heritage Champion Edge.  Edge gets on the mic and thanks the fans for all their support.  Edge says he thinks he knows who attacked him.  He got in a few good looks but the signs were misleading.  The man who attacked him had taped fists with what he saw was an X on them.  Maybe it was CM Punk…Then he noticed that the guy was wearing bling.  Maybe it was John Cena posing as CM Punk.  He says that’s not it.  All of a sudden the lights go out for about 3 seconds and when they come back on, Christian is standing in the ring and he hits Edge with a kick to the gut and follows it up with the Unprettier.    Christian takes the mic and explains that he was disappointed that Edge put a singles career before their tag team as they could be wrestling for the SPW World tag team titles but NOOOOO, Edge has to be selfish and that is why Christian is done with him.  Christian challenges Edge for the Heritage title and grabs the champ by the hair and makes a ‘yes’ nod.  Christian says he’ll see him in the ring.  He then walks off.

  

Dave Millican comes out thanking the fans for attending and for those who are watching on the SPW Network for only $9.95 a month.  He says MPP excels in talent and he’s happy to introduce the participants in tonight’s main event.  First, the challengers…The Bullet Club….AJ Styles and Gino Hernandez!  AJ and Gino come out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Those cheering for AJ were being drowned out by those booing Gino.  Once the Club was in the ring, Dave continued.  “Now, it is my pleasure to introduce the SPW World Tag Team Champions…the Dudley Boyz!”  D-Von and Bubba came out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Dave explains that this will be a 60 minute one fall match and he wishes both teams good luck.
